Finally, Here

After almost 2 years of wanting a new website and working on it off & on (and off again), it’s launched.

After 18 months of COVID and various degrees of quarantine life, we dealt with a positive test for A.

After 7 days of asymptomatic COVID positivity, A tested negative (and mama and the angels sang).

And after 10 days of quarantining, no childcare, worrying, solo parenting and never being alone, I am spending this morning home alone with A at school, H at work and a clear schedule except for showing up here.

I don’t know about you, but my routines feel so, so good when I can finally get back into them after a time of being off of them.

Dropped A off to school. Went for a run in town on the bike path (I’m getting faster). Ate a tuna cucumber roll for first breakfast. Assembled my favorite quinoa, veggie, egg, Cholula bowl for second breakfast (above). Made 3 kinds of tea - Rooibos for now, Rooibos with chocolate and caramel for later, and Passion for iced tea whenever.

I’m treating this week like a little vacation, minus the solo parenting I’ll be doing (and that’s even more reason to sstttaaayyyccaattiioonn during the PreK hours).

I’m making it through. Continuing the ride of these up and down pandemic-living times. Through our own COVID scare. Growing a business. Tending to a creative life. Taking care of myself and my people. Showing up in the ways that matter most to me. Sleeping better than I have in years.

How about you? What are you making in through? Maybe with today’s full moon, take a small moment to acknowledge all you’ve lived through that brought you to here.
