Piqued

Whew, it's a been a llloooonnngggg while since I wrote one of these posts, but I thought I'd document a list of things I'm loving right now:

Everything and anything Mara Glatzel produces including her Tend and Cycle programs (I'm in both), newsletter, Instagram and podcast Needy. Where to start, you ask? Needy podcast if you like audio, newsletter sign-up if you like reading.

Helping H with our van project. Yes, we bought a van. To convert into a camper. More on this soon.

Propagating succulents, all of my plants, and sweeping the porch.

May gray, June gloom. The fog that rolls in and stays until 4pm. The season changes here in Ojai. The spiderwebs strung-up with dew.

Teaching myself to sew using Elise Cripe's Sewing Isn't Scary course and a million hours of YouTube/Google search. It's slow going, but I'm hopeful I can sew some box cushions for the van and some tank tops and pajama pants for myself.

Stranger Things, season 3. I love the characters and the world they live in so, so much. We're half-way through so, no spoilers.

Human Design. Yes. I was sucked into the rabbit hole of HD a few weeks ago and it's making my heart happy to read every little thing I can get my hands on. Enjoying @learnhumandesign on Instagram, and interior creature's site.

Mulberries. There are ~7 trees on the boarding school campus. I take A for walks past them all and we eat our way through them every few days.

Cooking and eating our own food again. During the school year we ate at the dining hall for most meals, which was a huge money saver and a great way to mingle in our new community, but gosh I missed eating my own weird foods and cooking for myself.

Reflecting on how different our lives are now, and how that's a good thing.

Homemade iced dirty chai teas.

I don't love the hotter weather, but I'll take time in a pool or at the water park ANY DAY.

Writing more than I have in months.

A full +10 weeks of no work for anyone in our household. Full summer break.
