Library Haul - June 2016

libraryhaul_june2016It's been a while since a library haul, but H and I had some time two weeks ago to do a two-for-one walk with the dog & run errands. He needed to hit up the bank and the post office, so I added the library to the list.I didn't have a ton of time, so I quickly scanned the fiction paperback stacks and pulled a few options down.To be honest, my reading has suffered - pregnancy brain/exhaustion is no joke. I've spent most of this year "reading" via audio book, first 11/22/63 by Stephen King and now A Game Of Thrones by George R.R. Martin, but with the summer coming, I'm craving the feel of a paperback in hand.Swamplandia! - heard of, but never read. It's what I'm currently reading.Cat's Cradle - I don't think I've read any Vonnegut, besides Slaughterhouse Five in high school (shh! i know - this is a sad thing for a fan of dystopia), and unfortunately, I couldn't get into this one last week, but I plan on trying again. The Hummingbird's Daughter - seemed interesting enough and I have hopes that the prose is pretty.Lindsey's Things I Love Lately lists are always full of a next good read. What are you reading lately? Any specific books you recommend for summer?See all my Library Haul posts.
