Piqued

Currently_snoringPictured above: pretty much how I feel this week. After 5 straight days of being ON for work, my body is slowing down, achy and tired. Very, very tired. Good thing the weekend is here and full of unscheduled time.Lindsey's struggle with her word, ease. Not only do I love that her word is defined as "absence of difficulty" and that's exactly what it's bringing her, but I love that she's acknowledging it and sharing her process.Another writer I tag almost every week - Kira is running Cultivating Enough, a daily photo challenge for February. Being that I struggle with feelings of worthiness, I'm on board. (Fun fact: Kira and I both choose *joy* for 2016.)My colleague's dog Ellie passed away last night. While I never met her, I loved following her photos. I am basically unreasonably sad to hear that she's gone. Losing my own dog is something I'm aware I'll have to deal with some day. If we're lucky, and he passes from old age, he's probably already 50% of the way there. I can't imagine life without him and I don't really remember life before him. This series of aging dogs warms and breaks my heart. And Jill always writes so eloquently about loss. RIP Ellie. And speaking of long distance relationships, here's a Love Letter To Long Distance Friends (<3 to D)I joke that February is the new January, but each year this feels truer. While the holiday travels home were a relief, I really can't sink into the new year vibes when I have to hit the ground running while being pushed around by Mercury retrograde. Now that my events are over and Mercury is direct, there's some space in my life for the new.Now sure how I found Laura McKowen's post, but 16 Ways to Remember Who Your Are When You Forget is the kind of list I'd write for myself, for you. It's the kind of list I want to read at the start of my new year, to kick off the energy, to point me in the right direction. It's the kind of actions we can take when we're feeling more like dust-dust instead of star-dust.I hope you have a lovely weekend.Read all of the Piqued posts.
