January Prompt - One Little Word

In my post-event haze, I took Tuesday off. It wasn't enough time to recover at all, but it gave me the afternoon to work through the January prompt for Ali's One Little Word class.

JOY: (noun) a feeling of great happiness.Not much to talk about here design-wise. I'm using a baseball card page protector for the pockets and an 8.5x11 protector for the long-form page. The paper is from Heidi Swapp's Hello Today. I pulled together photos of my favorite day of rock climbing in 2015, a photo of me in Acadia, a beach shot from our camping trip earlier this month (with a quote on top), and a pre-event selfie I took last week as 350 people filed into the venue.

I found the most inspiration for these pages in quotes from Brene Brown and Danielle Laporte.

My reason why: After 2 miscarriages joy feels like the flip side of grief...one makes the other so vivid, and vice-versa. (I want to) not shut down, but open up. I shared more in my one little word 2016 post.

Also, I'm writing a weekly Joy List. So far, joy and I are getting along just fine.
