This week I was sick with what I'm deeming a death cold. I spent more than one night on the couch, both day and night on cold meds, and generally feeling like absolute crap. Ugh.While in a medicine haze, I found some good stuff to read on the old interwebs. Enjoy xoSusannah Conway wrote about the symbolism of surgery and being in her body. And followed it up with a detailed post about learning to live in her body.At the urging of my friend Steve, I started Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and love it. I'm a stranger danger ranger! And, this Atlantic article touches on how the show deals with trauma.Dystopian and post-apocalyptic narratives rank high on my reading list. I don't like to witness the world ending, but how people survive after the end? I'm in. So this list of New York Times fall 2014 list of dystopian novels is book-marked for future reads. And I already wrote about how much I loved Station Eleven.I found Kira via Instagram and I so enjoy her posts on Cultivating An Open Heart. These pictures of the ice. Love that the photographer Dapixara said, "Cape Cod is my sacred place to be creative.” ::praising hand emoji::Two women, a baby and 47 miles of the Teton Crest Trail? Backcountry Baby. Hell yes.Piqued is a Saturday round-up of things that caught my attention, inspired me or are becoming a small obsession. It covers blog posts, music, books, podcasts, interviews and more, and always starts with a photo of my dog, Carter Cash. If you find something you think I’d like, add it to the comments and I’ll check it out.
