Bar Harbor - Acadia National Park

cafethiswaytruck_acadiaus_barharboAE_acadiaflowers_acadiame_acadiaview_acadialighthouse_acadiaclams_acadialunch_acadiaI wrote about camping, climbing and hiking in Acadia National Park, but I also wanted to share a few more pictures - we ate some really good food while we were there and the views were gorgeous everywhere we went.Consider those photos to be a love letter to Bar Harbor. The bluest of blue skies, the greeniest of green trees. The ocean, the cliffs, the clouds, the buoys and the fog. If Alaska felt like a dream, Maine felt like stepping straight into a wish. It is quintessential New England - a town on the ocean, a fishing and tourist community. Everything looked elegant, weathered and perfect. We ate a Cafe This Way, which not only had delicious breakfast but the walls were lined with books in rainbow order. After rock climbing, we ate huge sandwiches at Side Street Cafe, sitting in a line on bar stools on the outdoor patio. We picked up coffee at the CoffeeHouse Coffee Bar. On our last day, we inhaled the steamed clams and lobster at Fish House Grill. It was really hard to say good-bye.I'm working on another adventure post and perhaps a recap of the summer, but looking through these photos again, Acadia was the highlight, hands down. So grateful we made the time to explore this beautiful place.
